At Bar Stool Centre, we strive to ensure your satisfaction with every purchase. We understand that sometimes circumstances change, and you may need to return a product. Please review our returns policy below for clarity on how we handle returns and warranty claims.
Changed your mind or ordered the wrong style? No worries!
Under the Australian Consumer Law, businesses are not required to accept change of mind returns. However, at Bar Stool Centre, we go above and beyond to accommodate your needs. If you wish to return an item due to a change of mind, please note the following:
- Contact our customer service team at support@barstoolcentre.com.au within 7 days of receiving the goods or services.
- Provide your full name, order number, and reason for return in your email.
- Include images of the unused, undamaged, unopened products in their original packaging.
- Specify your preferred refund method: refund back to the original payment method, store credit, or product exchange. Never include personal credit card information in your communications with us.
- If you opt for a refund to your payment method, the cost of shipping incurred by us for the initial delivery will be deducted, along with a 10% restocking fee. However, if you choose a store credit or exchange, we will waive the restocking fees.
- Wait for our team to process the return and provide instructions. Please do not return the product without consulting us first, as our return warehouse address will differ.
- Change of mind policy excludes bulk or wholesale purchases that would have a significant shipping cost.
Product Exchange Information
If you choose to exchange an item, please note the following terms of our exchange policy:

Credit Issuance: The credit for your returned item will be issued less the shipping costs. We will waive the restocking fees associated with the exchange return.

Voucher Activation: Your exchange voucher will become active only after we have received and inspected your returned item at our warehouse. This ensures that the returned items meet our quality standards before a new order is processed.

Pricing: The voucher can be used against the current website prices at the time the voucher is activated. Please note that the prices of the items at the time of your exchange request may vary from the prices at the time the voucher is issued and becomes active.
This policy ensures that our exchange process is fair and transparent, allowing us to continue providing high-quality products and services to all our customers.
Warranty Claim Instructions:
- All standard furniture products come with a 12-month warranty, unless stated otherwise. Please refer to the product description for extended warranty details.
- For warranty claims, contact us via email with the following information:
- Order number
- Customer name and address
- Detailed fault description
- Manual with missing parts indicated (if applicable)
- Images/videos clearly showing the fault and original packaging
- Our customer support team will assess the claim and proceed with repair, replacement, or refund per ACCC guidelines.
- We may send a new box containing missing parts if necessary. Please provide a photo of the missing part indicated on the instruction booklet.
- Do not return the item without our authorisation.
Important Notes:
- Bar Stool Centre reserves the right to refuse refunds, repairs, or replacements for products misused, mishandled, or incorrectly installed.
- Customers must follow the manufacturers' instructions and advice.
- Refunds typically take up to five working days to process. Allow an additional five business days for your financial institution to handle and process the refund.
